We booked 2 nights months in advance for the wedding with hotels.com and had prepaid the amount. On our way to our destination We had car trouble and arrived at the motel at 11am the following day of the reservation. They tell me there that my reservation was cancelled and I had not paid for that reservation. So, I booked another room and paid.
Traveling home later looking at my credit card I see that I indeed prepaid for 2 nights and now have an additional charge for a new reservation. This is so messed up. I did reach out to find out why my prepaid room was cancelled. No one call, no mailed or texted me for confirmation. They said we didn’t check in with their time period…. I asked for documentation on that policy. Didn’t get any…
We were charged around $500 for this experience and will never stay at this hotel chain again and I’ll never use hotels.com for bookings.
