We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly. The area seemed safe, there was a variety of fast food type places nearby. Parking was great, there was always a place to park. It's fairly handy to San Francisco. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The water pressure wasn't great but the bathroom was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Hampton Inn has been my “go-to” place to stay, but this visit was strike two for them. When checking in, I asked for a room that did not have walk-by traffic. The lady said they didn’t have anything available on the 3rd or 4th floor (wasn’t true - we were an early arrival- later arrivals were placed on those floors) so she assigns us to one of the only 4 or 5 rooms in the hotel that has street side sidewalk traffic right outside our window. I have personal reasons for not liking to be in a room in which people would have window access, so this made for a very disconcerting stay for me. We kept the dark shade pulled as there was no privacy in that room, so a dark and dreary room it was. The other issue is breakfast. Hampton Inn needs to do better. Most everything is standard and fine, but the eggs are borderline edible. The cheese omelette was like rubber, the western omelette was a step up from that, but the plain scrambled eggs were awful. They had a strange taste and texture. Threw them out. We had stayed at another chain hotel earlier in the week and they put you to shame. I probably won’t give you an opportunity for a stike three (strike one was a couple of years ago in Buena Park). This is how a business starts a decline. Quality control and customer service deteriorate.
