The hotel is alright for attending a conference. Otherwise there is little to do in the area. Pomezia is just a residential neighbourhood.
Most of the people who work at the hotel are nice, except for the lady who works at the front desk. I have never met any hotel receptionist as rude as her. Totally unhelpful and discourteous. I made a request to switch to another room because the shower in my room was missing a shower door. That’s right. It was missing a shower door which meant the whole bathroom floor would be wet after a shower!
I understand the hotel was booked full. But she could have said, “Sorry, we don’t have any room to switch you to.” Instead she just barked, “No!” I asked again — very courteously and apologetically too — “May I make a request...” She just cut me short and shouted, “No! No! No!” I was flabbergasted. Not wanting to make a scene, I just left. That day I went and bought plastic sheeting and a roll of sellotape to create a makeshift shower curtain for myself.
The rest of the room and hotel was ok. There are some decent neighbourhood restaurants in Pomezia.
