The property had very nice grounds with a lovely pool looking out over the water. The superior garden room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the beach was not good for swimming but it was otherwise a very pleasant property.

Good but could be better

Hotel has a great pool. Rooms were clean but no grudges which they really do need and only one key per room, not practical when traveling as couple. Left with choice in the morning when going for walk of taking key but means no air con for my partner who is sleeping, leaving door ajar so I can get back in or waking him to get in. None of the options are acceptable and hotel refused to provide second key even if extra deposit left.

Good hotel near port but need improvements

This was our second stay at the hotel. Our last stay was last year and this year we were happy to find the hotel did huge renovations on their facilities which includes great swimming pool area (with infinity pool) and restaurant overlooking the beach. However, the food quality at the new restaurant was not as good as before. Breakfast was better before renovation. During dinner, our waiting time was very long (around 30 mins) for fried noodle and fried rice and the noodle tasted bland. We complained and the waitress offered us to change the menu. Since we didn’t want to change, she excluded the order from the bill, which we appreciated very much. Our second concern was the cleanliness. Room was clean in general, however there were few stains on the sheet. I asked housekeeping to change it and their response was quick. Third was the mattress. We stayed in twin rooms and one of the mattress’ spring had started to squeak. Overall, I like the hotel. Even though it is an older establishment, it has beautiful ground, felt homey and service from the staffs was great. I hope the management would pay attention to the issues above, not only invest and focusing on improving the physical look of the hotel but also the food quality and more importantly the room (e.g. mattress, sheets, towels, etc). Thank you

Value for money, great location

The hotel is value for money. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and the shower was great. Unfortunately, the air con unit was poorly positioned in the room we had which meant it didn't cool down. Check in staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was disappointing. We primarily stayed at this hotel for the Kawah Ijen tour, it was a superb location for this and being only 2km from the ferry port, it is also great to head over to Bali.

The best in all of East Java

I have stayed in Ketah Pang Indah more than 10 times in the past year. The massage room is outstanding. The staff speak and understand English very well. The food, for this part of Indonesia is the best. And the gardens are a dream.

Decent but not the best in service.

So far it's been the 2nd time I've been here for business trip. Overall was a decent experience. However this 2nd time I had a delayed flight, although I know the hotel don't have to refund me the first night stay, but I was hoping that they would be able to cancel on complimentary or a discount to my stay as it was not really a delay under my control (i.e I was not late for my flight but it was delayed of flight by Garuda Indonesia). But either way overall was great.

Hotel close to ferry terminal to Bali

This was our accom for our Mt Ijen climb. Hotel room was very value for money, spacious and clean. If you're heading to Bali after your climb, it's situated just next to the Ketapang Harbour. Just take note that most people climbing ijen will stay around Sempol instead.

We stayed here on 18th Feb 2017. We got a price USD24.30 for Superior Room Garden Area+Breakfast. Room size 24 square meters: Length 6 M, Width 4 M with: 1 work table+1 chair,AC,29" TV Flat,1 table,Kingsize bed+2 big pillows+2 little pillows,telephone,mirrors,wardrobe,a suitcase and shoe rack,mini refrigerator,water heater+coffee+tea+sugar,tissue,2 bottle mineral water 660mL,2 cups,2 sandals,balcony room+chair+table,clothesline. Bathroom size: Length 2 M, Width 2.10 M with: wastafle,mirrors,2 towels,1 soap+1 shampoo+1 toothbrush+1 toothpaste, shower water hot/cold.
