Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Pathetic customer service. Initially had to wait 90 minutes for our room, when we finally got it we were sent to the wrong room. We waited a further 45 minutes for the suite and had to go ask if our room key was ready as staff weren’t in any hurry to help us. Room wasn’t clean, dirty floor and things in the drawers, we had 1 robe between the 2 of us and 1 towel. We didn’t have toiletries or the “luxury’s” that was supposedly included and before we went to sleep we had to remake the bed as the sheets weren’t on. There was also silverfish crawling on the sink and floor of the bathroom. A valuable item also went missing and the staff have been more than useless in their approach, if they had of reacted when the item was reported it would have been found as we gave the exact location it would have been in. I was assured 100% by a manager that in his time working at the Clayton there had never been a theft and that the housekeeping staff would 100% find the item as it was in a drawer and they do drawer checks between each guest (which based on the cleanliness is a lie). I have rang 30+ times for an update and have been told i’ll be “called back”, I am still waiting for this. If you value your peace and want to feel safe during your hotel stay DO NOT stay at the Clayton Belfast.
