Lovely meals Friendly staff

Great first impressions when we arrived, vety helpful and cheery staff in the spa.Checked in and used the gym. The room was lovely, bed very comfortable & super outlook onto the golf course. We had a pizza for lunch and evening meal in the Oak room which was delicious. The only thing i was really disappointed in, was how miserable the staff were in the Oak room. There were quite a few of them and felt they just didnt want to be there! No chat and worse of all no smile, a smile really does go a long way, especially when you are working in a high end establishment.

A new owner since last there lots done to improve it. Helpful staff, really nice refurbed room. Great Breakfast.

Easy to find

On arrival externally it is rather bleak but i found that the breakfast area and my room were sufficient for my needs, corridors etc somewhat dated and a lift that loves to open its doors several times when i would rather they shut. Staff were very nice and accommodating and the food decent. Although it seems a poached egg was out of the remit for one chef who murdered them twice. Offers to exchange were turned down as i don’t like waste but would prefer it done correctly first time. For working trip more than adequate.
