As always the Barceló was excellent. I stay there almost every year and have never noticed a decline in service or accommodation. This is my “go to” hotel for Guatemala City without fail. Keep up the good work, Barcelo!

I try to use Barcelo for our trips in Mexico, El Salvador or Guatemala. However, the Guatemala one is the one that needs renewal, but other than that this was a nice stay.

This place was really nice! Super big hotel with great views! They have security near every exit so you are super safe. The staff is very nice and helpful! The area has very walkable food options as well as options in the hotel. And the airport pick up and drop off was very convenient. I will like to add though that the beds & pillows are super hard so do ask for a extra blanket to soften it a little but I guess it made the spa in the hotel handy as well as the hot tub

Bed was comfy and room fairly comfortable though outdated. Check in was extremely slow and keycard didn’t work on my first 2 tries — I saw many other guests coming to the front desk with the same issue. The ac dripped onto the floor making the carpet wet and mildew-y at all times. Staff is friendly

When I arrived and I checked in I had already emailed to make progress go smoothly but wasn’t the case still needed more information I paid cash and made error of not getting a receipt next time I will pay with card even though I didn’t have to pay again I didn’t like the fact that I was asked to pay my balance also I had a extra room so I had to move around the people and do process again when that was done they left one person out and when I went to breakfast I was stopped at door and had to go back with front desk and fix issue and to top off my stay when I was taking my bags out of room my key card stopped working so I couldn’t access elevator again!!!! Had to go back to front desk so basically you need to be out of room by 11:30 am they are serious about you need to be out by 12 not my best experience to be honest I had stayed in the Barcelo in El Salvador that Barcelo is much more friendly and staff always in a great mood

Loud but good airport transport

The airport pick up was the best part. The driver was timely and kind. The hotel was very noisy because someone rented the event space and there was very lound music until midnight. The breakfast brunch was good but very crowded. My room wasnt the cleanest. I prefer the small hotels around the airport.

The location is very nice and convenient, close to the city and the airport. The room was nice and comfortable and everyone was pleasant and courteous. They have several dining options, I highly suggest to use them.
