We loved everything about our stay at The Lord Nelson. The staff were lovely, the rooms spotless, the restaurant excellent, a perfect location, and a beautiful lobby and mezzanine. We were very sad to leave after our 3 days and will be back!

Fantastic stay. Staff were helpful and polite. Hotel is a great mix of modern and contemporary with a touch of old world class. The room have everything you needed and was very spacious. The room had some some lovely touches to make it stand out for other Halifax hotels we have stayed at and had a nice view of the public gardens. Breakfast in The Arms was excellent and again the staff were attentive and very polite. Everything about this hotel is geared to ensure you have a great stay and feel appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Halifax, you won’t be disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay here. When we arrived we got a complimentary room upgrade, which made my day! The room was clean and areas around for shopping and eating were endless. The covered parking garage attached to the hotel is an asset when staying downtown Halifax.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lord Nelson Hotel. The front desk staff are unfortunately not very friendly. They proceed with the check in and check out process in a rather robotic manner, without smiles or conversation. I would suggest front desk training program with an emphasis on representing the hotel in a positive way considering they are the first point of contact for guests.
