Oh dear

The staff were friendly. The place itself, oh dear, when it was last fitted out I'd guess they bought up the fittings from Crossroads motel, the place is so old and tired, the carpets are worn through and everywhere stinks of stale tobacco, everything is yellow, worn and tired, The bed was was lumpy, the pillows dire. The food in the adjoining pub was on the same level. Best thing about the place was the large carpark.

Room faced afternoon sun and curtains were not drawn therefore unpleasantly hot with only a small desk which only blew hot air around. Key card controlled electrics so fan couldn't be left on while room unoccupied. In contrast public rooms were too cold with AC. Also no choice of pillows, only hard ones which gave me a very bad headache and a bad night's sleep

Sadly the whole hotel is in bad need of repair and redecoration. Worst of all the mattress was basically a bag of springs. I found the floor more comfortable. Pity because it’s location would warrant the love and care it needs

Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean but the rooms and bathrooms were very much in need of updating. Breakfast was fine as long as you just want a cooked breakfast otherwise, you’d be very disappointed as the alternative options were extremely limited.

Comfortable enough, served us for our purpose. Bed was creaky and it was a bit of an out dated room but staff was friendly and it’s alright if you just need a bed for a night or 2

Could be a gorgeous hotel

The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was reasonably clean, but it desperately needed some TLC. Not just decoration, but doors and plumbing. Every time you sat on the toilet, it made a strange gurgling / grinding noise and the same when you stood up.
