A Overlook Hotel-like experience (e.g., expansive with virtually no other guests, lack of upkeep, eerie sounds and smells, terrifyingly jarring elevator, phone not connected, bathtub wouldn't drain), definitely an early 90's vibe. We usually had to wait between 15 and 25 minutes for water to get hot. Breakfast (no longer included after 10/1) was scant. Staff were all kind and helpful.

What made our trip was the chef at the restaurant. He talked to us and even told me how to make his Mexican rice which was the best we have ever had. Facility okay - room was messy with balloons when we got to it. We cleaned them up and disinfected with Lysol.

The individual at the counter when we were checking in was dealing with a car that was stolen from their lot! We deciced to stay anyway and then there was no.hot water at all! We told the individual at checkout and he said "still?" Really?!?!?!?!
