As the title says, we are staying in the Hotel, but actually it was the motel, which in actual fact was more convenient for us as it was easier to load and unload gear from the car without having to go through corridors and lifts. The rooms are old , but well kept, and the little kitchenet was very handy

Comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was warm and comfortable and in easy walking distance of the Sports Bar where we had dinner. Staff there were fantastic! The only negative was the shuttle bus driver we had in the morning. He didn’t get out the drivers seat to unlock the boot for our luggage then when he picked up two elderly guests, one with obvious mobility issues, he again stayed in the van. My husband got out and assisted them with their luggage and getting in. He also assisted them getting out and putting their suitcases on the path for them. The driver we had the night before was fantastic.

The hotel was clean and warm, the bed was comfortable. The staff are friendly. It was good for my business trip needs, as the room had a kitchenette and living area. The property is a little dated, but not distracting.

The room we stayed at was renovated and the bathroom/shower facilities was very nice. During the early hours of the morning, kids were running back and forth along the corridor which caused some noise in our room. Overall the stay was great however on the morning of checkout, was disappointingly woken up to housekeeping team at 8.30am (before checkout time) knocking on our door. Without giving us an opportunity to answer, within a few seconds they were able to come into the room even with the security lock on. While I understand a hotel reserves the right to be able to access any hotel room, on this occasion it made us feel unsafe knowing the security lock can be so easily opened. While they were quick to apologize and leave the room upon seeing that it was all dark as we were still sleeping, we felt they should've at least double-checked before insisting on coming in. This incident was such a shame as it did spoil our impression of the overall stay.

Wifi not good enough

A pleasant place. No pretensions but clean enough and comfortable (I stayed in the hotel, not the motel, so I don’t know what the motel rooms are like). The staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was surprisingly good. The hotel is a little way outside the cbd so only convenient if you have a car. The pool is very ugly and the gym is a disaster - two out of four machines broken and the weight bench so rickety that it’s too dangerous to use. If a pool or a gym are important to you, I’d suggest going elsewhere. Otherwise, this is a good choice.
