This hotel exceeded all expectations. The room was spotless—one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in—which immediately set the tone for a great visit. Everything felt fresh, well cared for, and extremely comfortable. The staff truly made the stay exceptional. Every employee we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality stood out and made us feel very welcome. The location is excellent and within easy walking distance to many of DC’s main attractions. While the rooms are a bit smaller, that’s expected in DC and was more than made up for by the cleanliness, comfort, and outstanding service. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We loved our stay at the Sofitel. Very clean and very conveniently located. The staff was very welcoming and absolutely nice. We were at first given a junior suite on the 12th floor. The heating unit was too loud and unbearable, they immediately sent someone to inspect it and - given that there was no working around it - they moved us to another suite and - without asking - they included next morning complimentary breakfast at their wonderful Opaline Restaurant. Yes 5 stars!

From the moment I arrived, the Sofitel Washington D.C. impressed me with its warmth and attentiveness. The gentleman at the front desk not only checked me in with genuine friendliness but also personally assisted with my bags, placing them neatly on the luggage rack in my room—a small gesture that set the tone for the stay. Service & Hospitality • Requests were handled swiftly and graciously. When I asked for a microwave, mini fridge, and extra blanket, each item was delivered promptly to my room. • Every staff member I encountered was consistently helpful, professional, and welcoming, creating an atmosphere of ease and comfort.
