It is one of the best secrets kept in Cartagena. The pool size is amazing. The staff is amazing. The food is great very private very enclosed. Wilmer and the bar staff was very friendly and accommodating. Priceless

The breakfast was good and almost all staff had excellent English language skills. Our room was quite damp and had moisture dripping from the ceiling due to the ac. Although it was a lovely stay they also automatically added a £35 service charge on for each night. Bit cheeky

What an exceptional blend when history meets present time! The frame of the facility takes you to the 1600. The rooms offer you modern comfort. Breakfast in the garden with the birds chirping and singing felt like royalty. The choice of food is healthy and varies. It is at the center of town. You can walk to the most attractive locations and famous restaurants. The staff is great. I would like to give a special shot out to Juliet’s, one of the waitresses. She embodies the meaning of great service and class. This was truly a 5 star experience. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending that hotel to a traveler. I was celebrating a birthday earlier this month

The Sofitel is a really good hotel within the Walled City. The staff are excellent; I cant recall everyone’s name (and I really wish that I could) but Miguel our butler was top notch. Everyone greets you with a smile and are ready to assist. We were upgraded to a high floor with nice room and great view. There was a slight mixup with the room but we were assisted every step of the way and provided with a free lunch while they rectified the situation and placed our luggage inside of the room. The breakfast at El jardin was good with some delicious coffee. Only two cons; one is after some time you can smell the sewage in the bathroom and the shower sprays water all over the bathroom floor. The Sofitel is within walking distance of everything and you’ll want to stay here if you desire peace and quiet especially after midnight.

This unique historical hotel offers a perfect blend of charm and character, set around a central courtyard with lush greenery and the soothing sounds of chirping birds. The delicious breakfast buffet is a highlight with freshly cut local fruits and juices—must have a coconut lemonade! Located conveniently within walking distance to the best restaurants in the Walled City, it’s an ideal spot to explore Cartagena. The staff are friendly and helpful.
