The hotel itself is very underwhelming and completely unaccommodating. Clean but bare bones. No AC. Few amenities. Very dated room. One electrical outlet and a simple tub bathroom. Wifi is not offered in rooms. Paper thin walls. Bed was quite worn and clearly in need of a refresh. Nice view of the bay from a very small window. The restaurant- our first night here they were out of almost every item we ordered. Drinks were very limited. Out of stout. No passionfruit for the martini they featured on their menu. No whisky as advertised for their old fashioned. No fish for one of the mains. We settled for fried Haddock and chips and the fry came burned. The next day we asked to order a starter of mussels to snack on and we were told it was not possible without a reservation (and they were completely booked). Also worth a mention but no fault of the hotel- the main road to and from Portree from Uig was completely closed for construction after 7pm. We could not visit the town for evening pubs or dinner options. Again not the fault of the hotel but super inconvenient given the supply shortage at the hotel bar. If the hotel was inexpensive, i'd be more forgiving but it was quite pricey for the inadequate value offered.

we paid for a room that turned out to have peeling paint, uneven flooring, poor bedding walls with holes. The hamburgers at the restaurant were like rubber. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience during our vacation.

Did not see staff but room was acceptable, clean, safe, easy to get to. The breakfast was limited.

Beautiful setting and very dog friendly. Staff were lovely. Great food too. Must try the homemade fudge - it is fabulous!
