I have stayed at multiple Ritz-Carlton properties around the world, and by far this was the worst one. Not comfortable bedding, not welcoming hospitality — just a very mediocre experience overall. The pillows were completely flat, like sleeping on a business card, and the bedding was beyond uncomfortable. We barely slept. This is NOT 5-star quality.
The hotel feels outdated, but the management was the real problem. We were promised a Christmas dinner reservation, spent time giving all our details, and were told it was confirmed — only to be told later it was “fully booked” and our reservation had been given away to non-guests. On Christmas. Then we were told a manager would contact us. That never happened.
To make it worse, we visited friends staying at the St. Regis for the same price and were honestly shocked by how much better their experience was — from the rooms to the service. The difference was night and day.
Dishonest, disorganized, and zero accountability. This Ritz does not deserve a 5-star rating. Extremely disappointing for a brand that claims luxury.
