The Mandarin is an excellent hotel. I first stayed here 37 years ago. It was wonderful then and the renovated bigger rooms were even better than the first time I stayed. The Mandarin is convenient to many malls and shops as well as excellent transport options. Highly recommended.

My niece and I had an absolutely delightful stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta for 5 days in May 2025. Our room was spacious, clean, and tidy, providing a very comfortable base for our visit. Waking up to the stunning view of "Tugu Selamat Datang" was a real treat, offering a vibrant glimpse into Jakarta's bustling city life. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, with an impressive array of choices that truly set us up for the day. A special mention must go to the staff at the breakfast restaurant, who were incredibly attentive and genuinely nice, making each morning even more enjoyable. We also loved the convenience of being within walking distance of high-end shopping malls. We highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta for anyone visiting the city!

Soundproof rooms… Not!!!

I booked this hotel for the 3rd time. I never noticed before but this time I did is the noice coming from outside from the hallway, the widows, and the above floor. You advertise on hotel.com soundproof rooms this is one of the reasons I switched to your hotel you should rethink before advertising this. The first night I was very tired I never noticed but the morning the noice outside of the room was very loud. Then when going to bed the second night I was still awake at 3am as whoever was upstairs walking with high-hills on until very late. Then to be woke up at 8am with the bands outside., unacceptable to have thought I had a soundproof room. The service is being always great. Hotel needs to offer a whole package to keep the guests coming back. I don’t think I would stay again next time I am back in Jakarta.
