The view is out of this world breathtaking! If you want a gorgeous view in South Big Sur, this is the place. The hotel room itself, though, was not very nice. We were in room L1. It was directly above reception so you heard people in & out. The room was boiling hot with no air circulation - we had to keep the balcony & room door open (we were here in December so u can’t imagine how hot it would be in warmer months). The closet was falling apart, lights on meant closet light on, a loud buzzing from the room next door, stains on ceiling from leaking, janky bathroom. The was pretty comfortable. The restaurant is convenient but the pork was really chewy & the Caesar salad was sandy. This place is a good pit stop if you’re on a road trip. I think ocean view rooms are nicer, but not fancy FYI. We would stop over here again but never stay in room L1 again. Staff was very helpful & nice. Breakfast sandwich was good. I think they have a great baker there bc the bread & bagel were excellent.
