We had not planned to travel to Timaru, but needed the hospital services. This place was a last-minute booking that was perfect for us. Our family had been traveling in close quarters and this was great to have a little space to move around. Having a functional full kitchen, dining room, living room, and all the clear spaces for recycling and compost was very welcome. The person who checked us in was friendly and offered room options and a couple ideas of what to do in town. They were flexible about our check out timing which was also super helpful to us. We were only there one night, but managed to squeeze in a little blue penguin sighting after sunset.

Overall the owner was very nice and receptionist was really nice except had to do all via the phone and no receptionist was onsite. The owner helped with added heater to keep room warmed up
