The price was reasonable, yet the location was excellent. The room, the public bath and the public space were very clean and well maintained. The simple, Zen-like atmosphere was also very stylish.

The room was big compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Japan and for a good price. Very comfortable stay. Within walking distance to some of the main sites and also convenient to reach other areas by public transportation.

What excelled for me was the service of the reception. Most of them are fluent in English, extremely helpful and helped us to forward the luggage’s to Nagano. The interior of the hotel was done well, comfy beds and nice arrangement. The improvements I wish to see and hope they consider is to remove the plastic carpeting and replace with tiles for better clean ability in the bathroom area because those absorb stains and it’s disgusting to see it. And add luggage racks.

Nice hotel, in a good location, close to designer area, Samurai district, Nishi chaya district and Korakuen garden. The room was modern and pleasant, bed very comfortable. The TV was updated. The bath area was well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Recommends local restaurant Tomoya which is excellent and cheap , and Ninja weapon museum in Nishi Chaya District.

Hotel Amanek was a real joy to stay at. The facilities are immaculate and the staff are polite and efficient. The area is very convenient and most if not all Kanazawa sites are easily walkable. It is best to take a taxi from the train station to get to the hotel though (approximately 1500 Y) I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here travelling solo, the hotel was very nicely designed and the onsen was very nice too, and felt amazing after a long day of exploring in the cold. The breakfast was really good, and it was a great way to sample a bunch of different Japanese foods in one meal. They also give you your own pajamas which is nice if you’ve been solo travelling for a while too. Staff was very nice too. I would definitely go back if I was in Kanazawa again!

Loved pretty much everything. The room was lovely and well designed, the staff were accommodating and help, and the onsen was peaceful and good after a cold long day. Only wished we spent more time in Kanazawa to spend more time here
