No eggs this time (not even hardboiled), but that was the only disappointment. The location is perfect for a longer first day of driving from Texas and a shorter second day to Wisconsin.

We travel thru this area several times a year and we always stay at this property. It's convenient to I35, dining, shopping and fuel. The property is in a quiet location and the staff are friendly. It's a great value for the price.

It was good for a one night stay. Like the big TV in the room it was nice to see some programs. Slept good on the king size bed and good coffee.

Everything was great until the morning of checkout. The checkout time was stated to be 11am. Starting at 9:30am we were harassed by staff (woken up several times). They knocked on the door to see if we were gone. Then called the room well before 11am asking if we were planning to extend our stay. If they expect people to leave before 11am they need to change the check out time to reflect that. After driving 8 hours and having a 10 hour drive ahead of us it was not appreciated to be harassed during rest time.

Disappointed because the pool was closed. One big reason I chose this hotel was because they had a pool. I was looking forward to a relaxing swim after a long drive. The second thing that really disappointed us was the breakfast. No eggs. Sausage was cold in the middle. Sausage gravy was lukewarm. It also had a rancid taste. Only one banana out for fruit. Very little options and low on quantity. We've had better stays with a working pool for less than what we paid for the night. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I still don't think it was worth the $101 that I paid.

Another good visit. The only thing I'd recommend is hot scrambled eggs instead of cold hard boiled, but not at the expense of losing the delicious sausage patties. See you again soon.

We were very disappointed with our recent stay at this hotel. The remote control in our room was broken, and even after we brought it to the staff’s attention, it was never fixed. Additionally, both the showerhead and the faucet were unfinished and could be pulled straight out of the wall and countertop, which was concerning. The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, it felt dirty and poorly maintained. The complimentary breakfast was also a letdown. While I understand continental breakfasts are typically simple, the food quality was so poor that even my teenage boys, who usually eat anything, wouldn’t touch it. Given these issues, I would strongly recommend reconsidering this hotel’s presence on your site. I believe some form of compensation, such as a voucher or partial refund, would be appropriate under the circumstances.

It was clean and updated, however, there was a terrible smell in our room. There was a dehumidifier in our room so there must be issues with moisture and perhaps that was the smell. Laminate floors in rooms so could hear footsteps clearly above us. Breakfast was very minimal

Not one you bring your mom to! Stopped here for a quick overnight stay after seeing good reviews. The outside looked promising in a little cute town. Another family pulled in when we did and the mom’s incredulous face totally mirrored how I felt inside. Both my husband and hers assured us that it was just for a night and that it would be okay. Pros- it had beds and decent pillows. Linens were clean if a little tattered and frayed. Floor looked clean. There were enough wall plugs for everyone and everything. Rooms were a good size. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was passable with a clean and updated breakfast area. Area felt safe. Cons - Not worth the price we paid. We stayed at a VERY nice hotel in St. Louis for cheaper. Maybe there was some event happening but for that price we expected better. There is no elevator (to be fair it’s only a two story building so it’s not very necessary). Entrance and carpets were dirty. Building is showing its age and wear and tear. The room was a strange juxtaposition of nice ish fixtures/finishes with very poor installation. Floor was vinyl and not glued down properly. Our toilet was incredibly crooked in the bathroom. Uneven tile, uneven paint job, poorly installed sink…etc. Room was not completely clean. Behind beds, around the bottom of the toilet, bathroom corners, walls, and doors were not clean. Overall- I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was much cheaper and I didn’t have a better choice. But it’s not a hard ‘no’.

We drove 8 hours and specifically picked this place due to outside pool. Well not open! said they had plumbing issues and no permit to open. We told them that should be indicated on the site! Room was noisy right next to front desk. So heard everyone coming in and out.

We were pleasantly surprised by how attractive everything was! From the floors to the fixtures - it was all taken into account. Also, very clean and comfortable. The $ was great. We will definitely stay again!
