We checked-in early but room was not available and was told to come back at check-in time (4 PM). At 4 PM they were all confused as we had checked in early and could not find out keys. Were then told they were still cleaning the room and were told to wait further but we had our luggage and dinner reservations at 5 PM. We finally received keys after 2 hrs after dinner. We were not the only ones waiting a long time for a room.
Great food and tons of great hiking trails in the area. Grab a drink for sunset on the second story bar patio and watch Old Faithful go off before your dinner. Amazing hotel and highly recommend!
Definitely a very cool place! Our room was very clean. Not very many places to eat and the few they had always had extremely long waits, even for 2 people.
. Should have more dining options!
. Recommend the "old" rooms on the side facing Old Faithful. We had a shared bath and didn't mind sharing if one wants to save a little money.
The lodging was incredible! The log cabin architecture was perfect to match the wilderness experience of Yellowstone. The dining room and buffet were great, though the menu could have changed more frequently. The prime rib was incredible. Rooms were clean, though a little small. Staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions.
historic significance of this property is great. Beautiful lodge but very loud if you are a light sleeper.
Food quality is terrible
Staff is very nice. We had trouble finding parking as a guest. You should consider have geyser parking and Inn guest parking
All the quaintness you would expect and more! Could sit on the second story porch drinking coffee and watch Old Faithful erupt. We got to sit around the big fireplace after dinner and enjoy the cello and piano being played on the second floor. The room was small (we were in the west wing) but adequate. The only downside was the dining room only offered the same buffet every night at $50/person. Menu service hadn't begun yet.

Very beautiful old lodge. We had an East wing room which has an onsuite. The rooms are nothing over the top but when you can lay in bed and look at Old Faithful, it is pretty spectacular!
First night sheets had to be changed before use due to blood on sheets … second night shower had to be requested to have soap and shampoo filled was not done until following day with second request
