Unfortunately i have to say as a family of 5 we had a great stay but washing clothes was a different story. As big as the hotel is two washer/dryer combo isnt enough. The staff was kind and the property is beautiful

Loved the ambience. However, the soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner had a very strong scent, which could be an issue for those with allergies or sensitivities. I would have appreciated it if the staff had refilled the amenities in the room daily. Other than that, I would still recommend staying here.

My first clue something was off was being asked when checking in, "do you want to pay up front or at the end of your stay?" Um, at the end, of course (do they charge hourly, too?). My second was the concierge (who was otherwise the most helpful person on staff) suggesting we go eat at their ridiculously overpriced buffet instead of recommending something outside the hotel without informing us that they were closing 15 minutes later. After taking our money, the dining staff made sure we were aware they were wrapping it up and gave us side eye while we surveyed the picked over remains we had to choose from. The room itself was nice (best part of the hotel). We were paying for two rooms: my wife and I had a room, and our son had one down the hall. We had arrived and checked in separately, my son first, and then later that day we did and informed the staff we would be paying for both. However, when we checked out 3 days later, we discovered they had charged our son the entirety of his room on his personal card UP FRONT (what hotel chain of this size does this?) when he gave it to them to guarantee his room and check in early. A refund was issued, but took days to process and could have been avoided entirely. This hotel seems UNDER-staffed at the busiest times of the day (check in/check out), OVER-staffed the rest of the time (and in both cases have no time for guest pleasantries) and is the sole reason for the 2-star review.

Friendly service, great location

Staff were friendly and more than happy to help. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Location is great, close to Kyoto subway station and Shinkansen station, Shopping malls, convenience stores and car hires. Would highly recommend hotel.
