Convenient just outside East exit of the train station. All forms of transportation just in front of hot (taxi, bus, subway, all train lines). Multiple restaurants in and around station.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. For a hotel near a major train station it was very quiet in our room. Check in and Check out is a breeze. So close to the kyoto station! Very close to kintetsu and aeon malls which gives you a ton of coffee shops, shopping, dining options, convenience store. There are restaurants at the ground floor of this hotel. The only thing is there is no available coin laundry inside the hotel but there is one nearby. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kyoto! Thank you for the hospitality!

We chose this hotel for its proximity to Kyoto train station. We were a bit concerned that our rooms, facing the station, would be noisy, but when we asked about this the receptionist offered to change our rooms so that we would be at the back of the building and facing the inner courtyard, and it was beautifully quiet there.

Very convenient location right next to Kyoto Station which has all the Shinkansen and other local trains running to it. Clean comfortable room, reasonable nightly price. Surrounding area a little touristy, but if you go further into Kyoto it is less so. Would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel

Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo was the perfect location to stay. It was just a few minutes from the train station, so perfect after a long day walking. It was so clean and the staff was very friendly. Easy check in. Can’t wait to visit Kyoto again!

Very near Kyoto Station, the hotel is very convenient to local transportation. The room was large by Japanese standards, and very comfortable, with all the amenities one would expect. The staff was competent and friendly.

Hotel is right across the street from the Metro station which makes it really easy to get around less than half a block from a big mall. Plenty of restaurants. Lots of food. The only thing that I did not like was that they did not have any handicap accessible rooms for my mother even though I requested one weeks in advance.

The Miyako Hotel is conveniently located near shopping and transportation centers. The hotel offers an excellent dinner. The staff are extremely friendly. It’s a wonderful place to stay.

1. The hotel is right outside Kyoto Station. SUPER convenient. 2. The environmental staff and concierge were 5 ⭐️ 3. The beds… There is firm, floor and rocks. The bed was worse than the last 3 and the pillows were paper thin. Needed 2 xtra for minimal support. 4. The front desk staff… Not Helpful. Check in was automatic and took NONE of my 4 major credit cards. They stated I should try cash vs. taking me to desk staff. I’ve been to Japan multiple times and stayed at 2 ⭐️ hotels that had better service.

Tons of food and shopping within walking distance. Super close to the train station. Comfortable beds and pillows. Water stations on each floor a plus. The only complaint is the extra cost for breakfast because that was expensive. There are other food options around the hotel.

Hotel is across the street on the south side of Kyoto station (the less busy side) and is beside a large vertical mall. Makes for very convenient access to the train and subway lines, although Kyoto station is not the easiest to navigate.
