Nice hotel with friendly helpful staff at a great location. They have a laundry room which is useful but the dryer takes a while. It also has a nice onsen.

First and foremost, the staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel and the room I stayed in were extremely clean. There were numerious on site ammenties including a cafe, a resturant an ice machine, a gym, a vending machine, a laundry room, a public bath, and water fountains on every floor. The hotel also provided person hygiene items such as toothbrushes, shower gel etc which could be picked up from the lobby. My room was a lot more spacious than I was expecting and everything seemed to be designed with thought - the retractable line over the bath was a nice touch. I can not explain how amazed I was with the quality of the curtains. The first day I awoke I thought it was still the middle of the night! Those curtains have some otherworldly blackout functions. I also appreciated the branded pajamas provided, which I did end up wearing due to how comfortable they were. These were replaced once worn when your room was cleaned. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the nearest subway station and a 2 minute walk from the nearest convenience store. It was also not a far walk from downtown Kyoto, which made shopping trips and grabbing a bite to eat a breeze. Although pretty close to downtown, the area itself was quiet. Very happy with my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

The staff were helpful & polite. The hotel is walkable to lots of shopping and places to eat, particularly Nishiki Market. The breakfast is served early so you can get out and explore. A nice variety of goods offered.
