Great location for shopping, dining and having access to all the main attractions. Enjoyed being able to walk directly from the hotel to explore the town. Property is a bit dated but a good value for what you’re getting.

Great location, dated hotel. Front desk staff were lovely, had to move rooms because of sewage smell from bathroom. Restaurant staff allowed us to sit (during open hours, 5pm) but received no service as apparently (according to the front desk after we asked) they were all "in training", left after 20mins of being ignored, so can't speak to the restaurant. Right in the heart of historic town center though, easy walk to everything, lots of sights and restaurants close by.

Very good location in Sintra. Staff had good recommendations for food. Room was clean and housekeeping was great. Spacious. Hotel bar and restaurant was overpriced even for happy hour, no issue is cute. Taverns were less than three minute walk away. Romania de Rocco outstanding affordable restaurant nearby.

The view of the castle from their balcony was the highlight of the hotel for me. Both nights we enjoyed the music and view outside. We could walk to all the shops and restaurants. We drove a rental car to this location. It was tricky parking and driving a stick.

While the exterior of the hotel looked quite dated, the interiors were stunning, new and stylish. Beds were comfy, and bathrooms and fixtures were all updated. Views were expansive and beyond stunning to water, alley and castles. . Hotel is the best location if you want to be in the heart of this charming town and walk to shops and restaurants. We could also walk to some of the castles. Staff was incredibly gracious, and many nice amenities and gifts were found in the room. Plus we had an enormous balcony as we had the end unit. Would absolutely recommend!

Sintra was lovely. Hotel is close to some popular attractions and many restaurants. Very convenient. A little old but clean. Had a little trouble with the QR code to access the hotel parking. Thankfully it worked in the end. The driver behind us who seemed like a resident of the town was getting a little impatient. In the end, he got out of his car and helped us to speak with hotel staff through the gantry speaker.

As stated above. It was a pleasant hotel, a bit too old and shabby, and unfortunately the ambient fragance throughout the public areas of the hotel is totally UNPLEASANT to my senses. I stayed at a newly converted quaint NH property in Mexico city in Jan 2024 and the freshner in public areas was exactly as UNPLEASANT and sickening 😑 as at Sintra.

I chose your hotel specifically because of its central location in Sintra, expecting comfort and quality that reflect the significance of this historic town. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. The hotel is, frankly, unacceptably outdated. The elevator only works if you press and hold the button constantly. The restaurant serves uninspired sandwiches and lacks a proper lunch menu. The front desk is staffed by young receptionists who appear untrained and unable to answer the most basic questions about the area. One rainy day, I was given an umbrella which broke as soon as I opened it outside. On the evening before my departure, I requested a taxi — the next morning, the receptionist on duty had no idea about the request or my destination. There was, however, one excellent staff member — Francisco — whose professionalism stood out starkly. I made sure to ask his name because he was the only person in the hotel who truly knew what he was doing. Overall, every detail of the stay was weighed down by poor coordination and a lack of basic standards. This level of service — in the heart of a UNESCO-protected historic town — seriously damages the image of Sintra as a destination. I believe it’s important not to hide this truth.
