Poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend to anybody having the experience we had. During check-in, instead of being warmly welcomed, we were surprisingly advised we will be charged extra for our 2yr old toddler to stay with us in the same room. This is nowhere disclosed in the reservation terms and conditions. The staff clearly were aligned in their posture of not caring and saying they cannot put all the terms and conditions in Expedia’s booking platform. All of this for $22. But as a customer, it’s the principle of being charged for something you only find out about later.

The suite was spacious, made us feel luxurious. The bed/pillows/linen was very comfortable. Loved how the living area could be closed off from the sleeping area/bedroom.

A BIG but nice hotel. Very good location. Taks 5 mim to walk to my room. Very nice and rich breakfast but had to wait 10 min in line to enter. The room is OK. not to big but have it all. At the 2nd floor the street traffic is very clear and disturbing.

All was good. The breakfast option was ok just very crowded. A big downfall was no coffee or mart open for early bird and early flights. Not even a cup of. Coffee.

We didn’t know what to expect with this stay but I will say it beyond exceeded our expectations. We arrived a few hours early and they was able to get us into a room with in a couple Hours. Breakfast was also included with the reservation and was AWESOME. It is also with in walking distance of the Pier which was perfect. We will stay here aging

Overrated, run down hotel, very expensive for its current condition. Long time for even mid night check in. Asking passports of every person, scanning etc. Poor English skills of almost all staff. Unfriendly staff and hidden charges for facilities which were not declared at the time of booking. Swimming pool is outdoor and we couldnt use it for even a single day. Breakfast line could be half a mile long everyday and anytime. Overall very average and run down hotel, probably popular because of location. Would not recommend this hotel.

We've stayed multiple times at this hotel and our only complaints would be the front receptionists were not very helpful or accommodating with simple requests and the price of parking is absolutely ridiculous and will keep us from staying there again. Additionally having to pay extra for our two kids seemed unreasonable and this hotel is the only time we've ever had to do that.

Everything about The Riu Plaza was stellar. I booked a single room with a king size bed, but was upgraded to a suite just because without an extra fees. The staff was prompt and helpful. The hotel overall, inside and out, was clean and well presented. I would recommend The Riu to anyone looking for a loxary stay.

It’s nice specially their breakfast, property is abit beat from the outside the rooms are well kept. Super comfortable beds, restrooms super tight spaces on all rooms, we used 2 and I been in 2 other rooms in the past, but other than that awesome 8 mins walk to fisherman’s wharf.
