Great new hotel in London

Saw this hotel advertised at a remarkable affordable price and photos looked great. On arrival, realised it's only recently opened - the staff are brilliant, rooms are spacious and having a large window in central London for under £200 a night was a refreshing change! My only slight gripe - the coffee & tea is located at a communal 'galley' on each floor so you need to leave your room in the morning for a coffee. Not the biggest issue, but the coffee is only nescafe instant. It's a bit of an inconvenience for a low quality outcome. I'd prefer either nescafe in my room, or a nicer coffee at the galley - e.g. Nespresso machines. Otherwise, a lovely stay. The staff made it particularly enjoyable.

Great vibe. Get a bigger trim if you want to sleep

Ruby is a great chain. Great vibe, great staff. I suspect the bigger rooms are good, but at this hotel, in one of the smaller rooms, we could easily hear the TV from the next room, and water rushing through pipes when the toilet was flushed in the room(s) above. Two very poor nights sleep. Lovely touch that they offer a drink from the bar if you elect not to have your room cleaned during your stay.

Absolute fine for what it is. The staff were very good, warm and welcoming. It is clear that the training g they receive is thorough, and the management care about ensuring service is delivered well. The public spaces are great considering the relatively small size of the hotel, with plenty of space to relax and/or work. The music was a little loud in some parts but the balance across the different areas was just about right. The bar is open all night, and while I didn’t use it late into the evening, it really is excellent for that facility to be provided; far too many supposed luxury hotels close their bars too early. The rooms are best described as extremely compact but generally functional. Yes, it is clear they’ve tried to elevate the compact hotel experience, and it is certainly the best that I’ve encountered of this class of hotel. However, you can’t escape the fact that squeezing past the end of the bed is a pain, and while well designed, the rooms do struggle to accommodate the belongings of someone travelling on business for three days. If I were travelling with my partner for leisure, I think as a couple we’d really struggle with comfort.
