Excellent stay, staff are bilingual (english/spanish), and very accommodating. The outdoor sitting area, pool and restaurants in the premises made it very convenient for breakfast and dinner. Very safe, and well lit and kept grounds. The only reason for 4-stars instead of 5, was that coffee in the lobby was only for "selected guests in certain buildings" and NOT for all guests. Also first night was noisy because of renovations taking place on a adjacent building, but management promptly moved us to a separate building that was quiet.

Don’t leave valuable personal belongings out.

Location everything was fine nice hotel friendly check in staff. Our first day cleaning staff came in my daughter left a 5 dollar bill out and when we came back it was missing. We called front desk and notified them. It wasn’t the amount of money it was the action. Person in the phone completely brushed it off said they wouldn’t know who had entered the room as the housekeeping manager had left for the day, but there was a camera right out side our room. Again not the amount of money just the action. When checking out they didn’t even ask how everything went or how our stay was.

I was recommended this hotel, by a friend of mine so I purchased a room, not knowing all the other amenities. This hotel has to offer. Which was nice. I didn’t have to go out to eat anywhere. I had a great dinner on Valentine’s Day. Can’t remember the name of the restaurant, but it was an excellent experience. Definitely would love to come back.

Overall a good stay. Unfortunately, our room key kept deactivating and apparently not the only one with the same problem. They blamed our cellphone. Then our room ran out of hot water Sunday morning. That’s never fun.

The employees at Lucerna are their best asset. Everyone you come in contact with is ready to assist and friendly I love the room upgrades free of Charge I guet whenever possible. Overall Hotel Lucerna is by far the best hotel in Mexicali.

Best of Mexicali

Lucerna Hotel is GREAT! We always stay there when we visit Mexicali. Friendly staff, comfortable & clean rooms. But most of all, their Sunday Brunch is SUPERB! We always go back to La Lucerna :)
