Another great stay on our California road trip. Check-in was quick and simple. Rooms were well presented and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Shame we didn't spend much time in the pool. Too busy sightseeing.

I liked the staff , very helpful. Rooms clean. Dining across courtyard nice but for a solo traveler the service was really slow at restaurant. Nice pool, saltwater was a bonus and hot tub for adults only.

We had a wonderful stay at The Garland this past weekend and would absolutely recommend it to friends! The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and the property was very well-maintained. We loved the pool and the dive-in movies at night! We didn’t go to Universal, but it was incredibly close and the hotel had a shuttle to and from the park (we plan to stay here again next time we come to visit Universal). This was a great find and we will definitely be back!

I will forever and always make the Garland my first choice in LA. It is like a second home. It truly is a best kept secret. The Garland is a perfect hotel if you have family, business or traveling solo. The ambiance is suburb. With that being said, the customer service and employees make it even better. We will stay again and highly recommend to everyone.

Our room faced the street and was very noisy—definitely not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet stay. We also had an unpleasant encounter with a staff member (Hayley?) in the restaurant who was rude and clearly not interested in helping guests. The beds were uncomfortable, parking was overpriced, and overall, the experience didn’t match the cost. Not worth the value.
