Umm , a couple of bad things stand out 1) I had to go down to the restaurant to get ice. N0 working ice machine on my floor 2) No room service 3) The waiter's waitresse's were sub par for such a nice hotel 4)The dressor was in poor repair, I actually got a splinter. & other wood furniture was in need of repair

Property was adequate for the higher price. Staff was attentive and very nice especially in the restaurant. Showers did leak out and puddled on the floor. Also had a major leak fill the entry way of my room (704) which came from the tenant next door. Pool area was closed and although that’s fine, yellow caution tape was very unattractive. Area around property was excellent. Traffic was a major inconvenience. Elevator to enter hotel was not working during my entire stay and walking up the dungeon like stairs was very unexpected. Price for my stay left more to be expected and my overall rating would be a 7.5 out of 10. Let’s focus on a better customer experience for the cost you charge. In short, “Do Better Westin”

Very Disappointed

I’ve been staying at the Westin Pasadena for about five years because of their oversized vehicle accommodations and welcoming attitude toward service dogs. Unfortunately, this trip was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, I was told I would be charged double the stated valet parking fee ($44 instead of $22) because of my oversized vehicle, even though there is no signage or notice of such charges anywhere. Additionally, they initially refused to allow my service dog to stay because she’s over 50 pounds, which violates service animal regulations. This is particularly frustrating considering I saw other large dogs on the property. The customer service was unprofessional and unhelpful, with staff being argumentative and dismissive when I raised concerns about their inconsistent policies and fees. To make matters worse, it felt like they were exploiting the high demand caused by the Altadena fires, including emergency personnel, by overcharging for parking. I’ve always valued the Westin for its convenience and service, but after this experience, I won’t be returning. They’ve clearly lost sight of prioritizing their guests and instead seem focused on maximizing profits at the expense of fairness and decency. Avoid this hotel if you value transparency and good customer service.

Perfectly situated, very nice area

We were pleasantly surprised by the location, despite being just off the freeway. There are a number of good shopping and eating options within walking distance. I was very disappointed, however, to learn upon checkin that the heated outdoor pool (which was the #1 reason the kids had chosen this particular hotel) was closed. We understood why it might be closed (ie. the brush fires nearby), but there was no communication to that effect before arrival. In fact, the early checkin email we received only a few hours before arrival noted the opening and closing times of the pool. Had we known it was closed, we likely would have booked elsewhere (with an indoor pool). Anyone with kids will know that a pool takes a lot of stress out of a hotel stay. The only other negative experience was that the elevator to the parkade was out of service the day after our arrival. So we spent the next 3 days going up and down the dingy (and, frankly, dirty and littered) stairwell to get to and from the car. Things that made up for these inconveniences, though, were friendly staff, nice common spaces (the "living room", corridors, outside patio), and the excellent cleaning staff (we had clean sheets and a tidy room every morning). We would definitely recommend the hotel, but it's worth calling ahead to see if there are any services or facilities not being offered, and it would be nice to see better communication from the hotel in advance.

We stayed during the fires out in LA. Smoke surrounded the air so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor amenities. However, the hotel was overall beautiful

Great/Not so great!!!

Was impressed overall with hotel but two things made my stay not so great. 1. Loud noises come from the room next door, like someone was moving in and, rearranging furniture.. started from 7am!!! 2. Pool out of use beacuse of LA fires Hotels.com ans Westin should of said this on their offer. They still charged me full rate with use of pool!!

Great hotel and impressive staff. Service was incredibly attentive and friendly. I stayed overnight for business about a week after people were first evacuated due to fires. Even though the hotel was at capacity hosting evacuees, the staff didn't miss a beat. Top notch property and people. Highly recommend.
