I recently spent four days at Hyatt Ziva, and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained with lush landscaping, elegant architecture, and breathtaking views. It’s clearly designed with families in mind, offering a wide range of activities to keep kids entertained all day long. What truly stood out was the staff. Every team member we interacted with was extremely kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. No matter how many questions or requests we had, they never seemed tired or irritated. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome. Special shoutout to Axel and Armando at the coffee house—they were always friendly, engaging in great conversation, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. This resort is not just beautiful, it’s warm and full of heart. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already planning our next visit.

Upon entering the property, it looked very familiar, but I knew I hadn’t stayed at Hyatt Ziva before. I later learned that I had in fact stayed here back when it was the Barcelo. Not much has changed, other than ownership. The staff was nice. We especially want to recognize Miguel on the beach. He was so attentive! Carlos also warmly welcomed us upon arrival and was there to help us with our bags on the last day to leave. Food was ok. Beds were comfy. Here are a few of the things we didn’t like: The shower and tub sharing the same space. I was asked upon check in if we were celebrating a special occasion. I said “Yes! My 50th birthday!”; yet there was nothing done by the resort team to celebrate me. No room door banner, nothing left in my room, nothing at dinner. The waiters don’t take food orders at the beach or pool; only drinks, so if you’re hungry, you have to leave your relaxing spot to find food. Of the many times I’ve visited Cabo, this was probably my least favorite.

Queremos destacar especialmente a Apolinar, nuestro host mayordomo, quien con su profesionalismo y calidez elevó nuestra experiencia al máximo. Siempre estuvo disponible para apoyarnos con reservaciones, nos recomendó un restaurante espectacular para cenar, y se encargó de que cada detalle de nuestra estancia estuviera perfectamente coordinado. Su atención fue cercana, eficiente y muy personalizada. El chef del restaurante italiano también nos ofreció una experiencia memorable, con una cena deliciosa y un trato tan cálido como profesional. We had an incredible stay at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like VIPs. Luis Miguel from concierge went above and beyond—welcoming us, arranging dinner reservations, and making sure everything ran smoothly. He even gave us his direct number and checked in with us throughout the trip. Dining at Casa Cortez was a highlight—Lugardo and Diana made every meal feel special. The poolside service was also top-notch, and hotel manager Alfredo Salazar’s presence was felt in every detail. Our ocean view room was beautiful—clean, spacious, and with breathtaking views. The daily activities, adult-only areas, and beach walks made for a perfect balance of fun and relaxation. Highly recommend booking ahead for specialty restaurants and asking the concierge for help with activities and transportation. Truly an unforgettable experience—we can’t wait to return!

It is clean, staff are everywhere, at any time there is something to eat. Short on staff at the check-in point. Low quality of food. The food part was a big disappointment. The French and Italians restaurants are are not authentic at all.The cafe does not provide you what exactly you want when it comes to different types of coffees.

Can’t wait to return to this resort. Staff was exceptional from check in to check out. Daughter has many allergies to food and chefs and options were wonderful and helpful. Rooms were nice we did opt to VIP walkout to pool and enjoyed it would do VIP again. VIP club was very nice to have and easy for food, playing pool and views. Adult poo was fun and the foam party was the best entertainment for sure, I vote more of those! Infinity pool/swim up bar was most popular and only con to it was that they didn’t have music playing at that pool only the main and adult. we meet many great people from all over US. Felt safe at hotel but would not wonder off unless going to a destination (dinner etc). Resort is beautiful, infinity pool could use some tile upgrade if I was being picky. We were with our adult children so not sure about kids area but sure looked like they were having fun and is away from the main pools. Rooms (swim out pool) did have a musty smell after being closed all day but sure about upper level view rooms. There are vendors on the beach selling things but there is a line they can not cross so they can not bother you unless you cross or want to buy something.
