Hit and miss with what room you get, some much better than others. Most recent stay was the worst to date with an uncomfortable bed etc - makes it hard to give a bad review because staff are great, it’s just very inconsistent with what you get; and the price constantly fluctuates week on week

Really nice property. Absolutely great location. The staff were
The first room i was given hadnt been used it smelled , mould the bed was so small the bathroom was disgusting.
Wemt to reception no manager on site ! Was given the card machine to get a refund , just to get rid of me because they had a wedding arriving . They had no spare rooms the young man was training and another man dressed in a t shirt was training him . I asled for the manager the tpung man went to get them and came back qnd said there wasmt one mmm why go and look for one . I coupd email them .
Half an hour or so later the young man alled me over theyve had a cancellation but its exclusive room i could go and have a look , then the t shirt man said they had a twin room but that was near qhere our first room was . I said the stairs are too dangerous.
I asked for a fan cos the air con didnt work. We asked to book for dinner but the restaurant was shut becaise its set for a wedding . We went somwwhere else. We booked breakfast for 9am.
When we came down at 9am for brealfast continental was all empty. We jad to clear a table to sit at in the bar area . We waited 10 mins for someone to come out to take our order , the other was taken my Hammad very rude man we asked what was on the menu he didnt understand us . Then michelle came out 10 mins later to tell me i hadnt ordered breakfast amd i hadnt paid , but the toung man from frodsy said we could have a free breakfast for our trouble . Her reply was well the cook isnt cooking because you wasnt down here at 9am but we

Liked: Room comfort
Just one night business trip. Have stayed before. Good location and parking. Lady at check in was friendly and welcoming. Room confortable. Good bathroom and shower. Hotel feels tired. Needs attention. Check out guy at reception too busy walking about on his phone to cimnunicate with guests. Could be good if service and decor were revamped.

We loved the size of the room.the location was quiet
The hotel is in a lovely area & convenient for my needs. It has become shabby since I was last there. £8 for a pint is ridiculous !

Menu on first evening was poor. Very little available.
Had to wait 45 minutes for meal once chosen and nobody else in restaurant having a meal.
Breakfast good as we had cooked but poor availability around it. Only fruit was apple.
Couldn’t get hot water in the room. Cold shower and even cold in basin.
Booked hotel as close to wedding venue on Sat & exterior looked attractive in photos. Good central location in Quorn.
Arrived Fri afternoon, 2 staff in reception. Greeted by an Asian young woman who's first language clearly wasn't English & I had difficulty understanding her. Eventually the English guy chirped in (he'd been on his 'phone the whole time) & we completed check-in.
Interior of main building was "tired" with signs of lack of maintenance. Our room was in adjoining newer building, also "tired": The front door to the building stuck so a big shove was required to open it. It was like that from Fri to Sun for check out.
The lift from ground floor to first had an "Out of Order" sign which was there throughout our stay. Luckily for us no lift required.
The room itself was "tired" & was in need of a spruce-up. Mattress was like a marshmallow but amazingly we did manage a reasonable sleep.
Shower pressure was good, with hot water, however hand basin pressure was a dribble - photo shows it on full pressure.
Breakfast and service in the morning is the main reason for 2 stars: Sat I ordered "full English" to be served a cold plate with technically a full English, but small hash brown, tiny slice of bacon & who knows what the sausage was. OJ clearly squash & continental ran out.
Sun I ordered scrambled eggs, mushrooms & grilled toms + toast. 30 mins later cold plate with cold food. See photo. Staff said "that's not right" but I left. Other guests also complained.
Friendly at réception desk on arrival. However I was told I'd have to pay an extra £ 20 to check in at noon so we could change for a 1 pm wedding.
Overall the hotel is rather sad. Room was large, and bed comfortable, but the decor throughout the hotel needed sprucing up and updating: it looked very corporate 90s with chipping paint, faded and worn carpets. Bathroom had mold around the shower.
This is quite an outdated property which could use a bit of love! On arrival the room was freezing, The shower was cold which made the stay unpleasant. The bed was comfy and the staff polite and friendly enough. The continental breakfast had pretty much run out by 8am and the dining room was so cold the waiter bought our cooked cold breakfast out wearing a coat! Such a shame as overall this place has a lot to offer but I won't be returning any time soon.
Very tired property which could do with updating. Seems like it’s being run on a shoestring. Continental breakfast was cereal and sliced bread with a toaster. No soap in the bathroom for the shower.
