Almost the best stay on this property .....

Stayed here before but this was the BEST stay except ..... housekeeping had neglected to refill the shower amenities (no body wash OR Shampoo). Our floor was quiet and relaxing and enjoyed that very very much. The room was clean and looked like it had been "refreshed" recently. Everything operated correctly.

The staff was so friendly and amazing!! You could tell this hotel was still in a fixer upper stages. Bed sat really low to the ground, but overall the room was good! Wall Thermostat didn’t work, but was still connected to the unit and had to use those controls even though stated it was supposed to come from wall unit.

Struggling location

We found out after we checked in that the pool was closed for the weekend due to maintenance. We asked if it was possible to switch locations to the other Home 2 Suites in the area and was told she would call the GM but he likely wouldn’t answer. Breakfast was very low inventory. No fruit, no yogurt, no biscuits, chicken, or cheese for the featured sandwich, bacon was undercooked. Our bathtub had parts that were falling off, like the overflow drain cover. Housekeeping knocked on our door three times to see if we had left before checkout. The front desk employee was really nice and apologetic but stated the GM was hard to reach on the weekends. For a family of 6, the pool and breakfast are the main things we look for when booking, and usually LOVE Home 2 Suites, but this location was struggling. I understand things happen, but a heads up at arrival about the pool would have been nice.

I think it’s wrong to have to pay 18.00 for parking in addition to the room. But if I have to pay for parking the parking lot should be clean and clear of ice and snow. I almost got stuck getting in and out of the parking lot that you charged me for so I could stay in your hotel. Just wondering if I did get stuck , who would have paid my tow bill,since you charged me to park.
