Nice property but so many faults never disclosed in the resort til arrival. Pool only open til 6pm. No food options from 11-12:30, 3-6pm No room service unless your on 9th-10th floor No guest allowed on premises Just so many rules and issues. Beautiful property just never been so confined in an all inclusive resort.

This is coming from the fact, i was mislead by thinking I booked the adults only hotel when in fact it was an adult only floor in the family resort. When booking the Sonesta Maho advertise the ultimate adult only experience. Once I choose this I was under the impression it was the adults only hotel at Ocean point. The price was more than the original rooms. At check in I was notifed that I was at the family resort and wouid only have acess to one small adult pool and a bar reseved on the adult floor. No one willing to work with me and even stated that this is happening frequently among guest, when booking. Overall the rooms were clean, grounds were well kept, housekeeping was good. Staff could have been friendlier. There are a few restaurants on site but most close around 10. Room service was a joke. It was definitely family and kid friendly quality. If you want a quality meal you definitely have to go off site. We were told the adults only side had better restaurants and service. However when asking to dine there they wanted to charge $80 pp. I'm still calling corporate regarding this.

Sonesta is in such a great location. Plane watching is unreal. Room was good, food was pretty good, drinks were good. A couple of the bartenders could smile a bit more. Usually from my experience at many other resorts they are some of the friendliest people on staff. Wasn’t the case here. Our room wasn’t ready until 6pm on arrival but we were given a $150 resort credit to compensate so that was solid of them. Overall I would recommend the hotel. If I had a suggestion for the resort it would be to replace at least 1 of the double beds in the rooms with a queen. Would make the stay so much more comfortable for couples travelling with kids.

It seems like the beach next to the airport is an awesome experience but it smells like fuel all the time. Staff was not nice at all, the lady in the coffee shop was always giving people an attitude while making coffee. Waitresses and towel people were also not too friendly and not too nice, everyone looked miserable and with no smile. The hotel is not small, but they have maybe 30 chairs om the beach, which is not enough at all. Also in the pool area, there is not enough chairs so it doesn’t matter what time you go to the pool, there is no place to put your stuff except on the ground. We said good morning to all the taxi drivers, staff, security, towel guy- no answer. Maybe 5 out of 100 people working there were nice. Im very surprised because I’ce never had such a bad experience in the Caribbean.

The staff was super rude and seemed to be so inconvenienced by guests! No smiles anywhere! Staff at the buffet were exceptionally rude and unfriendly! Had to wait for everything! Check in staff was complaining about people checking in. Wait staff rolled their eyes about everything! Hostesses for seating in the buffet were just mean! Staff in restaurant arguing over who had to take which tables, because nobody wanted to! No drinks by pizza area. This was one of the worst resorts we’ve ever stayed at! Not worth the price for the all inclusive! Also, there is a charge for parking that we did not know about. The only good thing about this hotel is the view of Maho Beach the airport! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
