Book Lucas hotels

This property was a clean stay, rooms were nice and beds comfortable. Somewhat noisy with the trains going through. Breakfast was good. My biggest issue though was the pool. Was a nicely warm pool, but I was concerned after both my son and myself accidentally discovered an uncovered suction drain that had a very powerful,violent pull/suction to it. It left a very noticeable mark on my son's back the rest of the evening. There are other holes around the pool that shoot warm water into the pool. This suction area looked similar to those but this totally open, exposed 2" PVC pipe looking thing was very shocking to get sucked into. Left a red mark on my hand, similar to my son's back. We went to tell the front desk and they just said they were aware and it's "suppose to be like that". This just seems completely UNSAFE. It really seems like it should have a cap or vent or SOMETHING over it. I told my kids to stay away from that area after I was aware of it. Both of my daughters were wearing piggy tail braids and that vent could've easily sucked one of their braids in getting them stuck there. I'd really advise the staff to look into making this spot safer in your pool. But if they don't, be wary of the hole that's just left to the 4' depth sign... don't let your kids play by it. I'm not kidding when I say it's a VERY STRONG suction. We were completely caught off guard with it. While the property is clean, this pool needs attention and swimmers beware if they don't fix this.

I stay in alot of places but this was one of my least favorite stays we thought we were getting a nice pristine hotel but we got some ghetto hotel . The staff was so weird and ghetto , one of the ladies scared the life out of me because she smokes outside every chance she gets she smokes more than she works , when I would ring the bell I’d stand there waiting for 10 minutes to get helped because she would be smoking , we booked a room with a sleeper couch when I came down to ask for stuff for the bed the guy looked at me like I was crazy but went and got me some sheets , than I asked can I get some pillows too and he was like well how many peopl are sleeping there I’m like just me and the baby like the reservation said and he hesitated to get us pillows which was so weird . Than breakfast was not good like it showed it would look like which wasn't a big deal since it’s just hotel, the pool was so dirty and nasty and there was nobody there but pizza boxes and trash left everywhere . This was not even close to a good standard , there’s so much more that happened but I’ll just leave it at that . They need some better workers ….

We went down to the pool room and settled in to the hot tub. Security guard came and checked on us to see how we were doing. Had a wonderful time there. Their quesadillas are really good and chicken strips!

This property was very clean, inside and out. Breakfast was typical eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurts. Room was clean, king bed was comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay!

Overall, an enjoyable stay. Would liked to have had a closet or hangers in the room for coats, etc. Not many electrical outlets. Nice room overall. Good value for the price. Breakfast a bit sparse, but okay. We will stay here again.
