Maids Enter Room without Permission
We had a terrible experience here; the hotel and room itself was nice but the service and issues we had made it very stressful.
We were here 3 nights (full two days). We put the DND sign on the door and the maids entered our room both days and rummaged through our things. Moved our stuff around including dirty clothes and toiletries. It was such an invasion of privacy. We complained to the front desk the first day and were reassured it wouldn’t happen again and then it happened again the 2nd day. It was clear the maids were looking for something or checking out our things. Very disturbing.
We complained to the front desk again - of course they said the manager wasn’t in until the next morning. The next morning we tried to speak to the manager and she refused to speak to us. They comped us two waters worth $14 euros for our “inconvenience”.
That was the worst part. The other part was, this place is on the outskirts of town in the hills which is a beautiful setting, however, there is nothing in walking distance and there is no room service and the one restaurant closes at weird hours leaving you stranded for eating options.
