This hotel was clean and had all the amenities we wanted and was within walking distance of the mall. The front desk personnel were very nice. The poor rating has to do with noise. The occupants above our room were making so much noise past midnight that we were not able to sleep. I did alert the staff, and they said they would take care of it. I'm not sure if they actually contacted the people, but the noise continued. Finally, I requested another room, and the staff were very accommodating and said we could leave our things in our first room and sleep in the second one. I understand that the hotel cannot predict who is going to make noise, but, the hotel had empty rooms, and it would have been nice not to have anyone above us if that was possible, which it was.

it is nice they have a cook to order breakfast, but on the card they give you for it, they only give you ONE choice of eggs (w/spicy potatoes), french toast, or pancakes. All served with choice of bacon or chicken sausage. they have other items like toast, bagels, muffins and a few cereals. Coffee and juice. It was an average stay for one night. I didn't like that they charged my card $50 as a damage deposit. I haven't been to a hotel in a long time that did that.

Decent choice if you can find a good room rate

A clean hotel that's conveniently located. The hot breakfast, made to order breakfast is a good perk and pet friendliness is a definite plus. Beds and bedding were alright and the room was reasonably appointed. The pet policy could be spelled out - we have stayed at hotels that charge a nightly fee and those that don't. The fee here was a bit high given the room rate (almost 35%). Overall decent option in the Madison area.

For the deal I got on it, it was good, and I would consider staying here again if there was an incredible deal. Not worth paying full price for. An older building, dated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is tiny. The rest of the room was fairly spacious.

Needs improvement on some items.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times in the past, but have not been there in about a year. The room was fine, but I lowered the rating for two reasons. The coffee at breakfast was watery and so bitter it left an aftertaste that lasted for hours. In the morning when I tried to take a shower, I let the water run for 15 minutes and it was still cold, so I gave up.

The room could have been cleaner, the ceiling had something all over it. The curtains are stained with something. The side door was not locking when you came in, had to pull it closed. Tv was out for 24 hours, however the lobby had tv back sooner. Also putting a family with children on the second floor while having someone there for business below them, not the greatest idea. The running through the room went one until after 10.

The breakfast was nice to have and the staff was courteous. Sadly the room was not cleaned appropriately. The bedsheets had stains and a tear as well as visible dirt and hair in it. People in rooms were smoking and hallways downstairs and upstairs were smokey. We had a king suite and were moved to a standard double queen because of the bedding and the heater was dreadfully loud and clunking all night. Overall not very satisfied with experience.

Everything was wonderful! I got in super early and Steve let me check in early which was amazing. Clean room and bathroom. Smelled great. Not a lot of car noise even though it was right by the highway. Close to everything!!
