Excellent value and high quality accommodation

Enjoyed my first ever stay at a Holiday Inn Express. The room was beautifully appointed as was the en-suite. It was very quiet. The lack of air conditioning was mitigated by the provision of a high powered fan. Despite this, I found it a little bit difficult to sleep due to the high tog rating of the duvet but am aware that I could have requested a sheet instead. The room rate which included breakfast was excellent value. I am staying at the same Holiday Inn Express again next week and look forward to it. I had dinner as well as breakfast and the food offering was of a high standard.

Perfect for an early flight at Manchester airport.

We arrived with the fire alarm going off. It was extremely loud and a faulty sensor. We were checked in, issued with ear plugs and went up to our room. It was August and the room was very hot. We opened the window as far as it would go, then went down to the bar for a drink. The noise was deafenening so went into the beer garden outside. We had an early flight in the morning, but there was complimentary pastries, fruit, coffee and juice, which we grabbed to go.
