You can't tell from the area, let alone the building. But this is actually a pretty nice hotel. Rooms are relatively new, the bed okay, great bathroom. Everything clean.

Firstly, the staff were very pleasant, no complaints there at all. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Bed was fine for a night and the bedding was clean but basic. The main bathroom features were clean and the shower was decent, but there was a lot of tile mildew in the shower area and the door was splattered with what looked like old toothpaste stains - it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Again the main areas of the room were clean but some of the walls were very grubby and stained which was unpleasant. The view from our 12th floor room was really great. I paid way more than the room was worth though it was still way cheaper than anywhere else. I imagine if I'd booked earlier and it wasn't a Saturday night, it would have been cheaper. If you can get a room at a cheap price, it's honestly fine for a couple of nights. I'd stay here again at a push if I couldn't find anywhere better.

At £70 for two nights you can probably set your own expectations. It was clean, tidy, friendly staff, well located, can’t complain really for two nights staying for work.

All rooms I’ve stayed in have a funny smell and unable to open windows for fresh air. All mattresses desperately need replacing, so uncomfortable. This particular stay I was unable to shower as the water was scalding hot even when temp turned around to cold. I had to kneel on the floor and attempt to wash in the sink. When I complained to reception and mentioned how dangerous this was I was simply told it happens and I should have showered later in the day! Unfortunately this was not possible as I started work at 8am

Outside appearance is deceiving - very lovely clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. The breakfast is excellent with a good variety of options, and the bar/restaurant options are affordable and there is a good selection to choose from. My room was fairly basic (which is no problem for me!) and was clean and tidy, with a good water pressure on the shower and a HUGE comfortable bed, though the pillows were a little flat. Check-in and out (on the 2nd floor) was easy and straightforward, and the parking is very very reasonable! I'd happily stay here again, thank you Ox Hotel!

Room was clean and functional, very good clean & new modern bathroom, location was great for us, easy to find. The common areas are not very welcoming and a bit tired. Also the building is multi functional so be prepared to meet other not staying in the hotel!
