Would stay there again. Room had some fan or something on all the time that was a little loud in the night. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms were very clean.

The parking is confusing. Ended up overpaying $60 with no explanation of how to self park w the hotel. There are two saunas and both are locked with a padlock so you can’t use them. The pool is outdoor and in a very remote part of the hotel with no attendant . The gift shop is not upscale or with current day merchandise. No changing of towels or vacuum of room. Fridge doesn’t close all the way. TV wasn’t working and had to call attendant to reboot and rewire for it to work. Shower leaks water all over floor and made it slippery. Room service food is not great and way too over priced and not great selection. Door person not familiar with the hotel or advice on the area. You only get free Starbucks if you bring your cup from your room but they don’t tell you that at all. People are nice but the stay should have had a lot more details covered.

The air conditioning did not work. Each room appears to have its own thermostat that you can control, but really it does not work. There is only one air conditioning unit for the entire hotel and even though air blows through the room vents, it wasn't cold air, more like stuffy recirculated air. The lobby was warm, the hall were warm. The staff at the main desk told me that because it is an older hotel, that each room doesn't have their own unit and no control of the temperature whatsoever in the rooms. They said that they would try to make it a little cooler, but it actually just got warmer during the evening. There was a small pop open window in each room, but this had little effect on cooling off the room. I even asked if I could switch rooms, and they said that all the rooms were the same. The hotel appears to be contracted out by the Union Pacific RR for keeping their crews there every evening and I think they try to cater to them and don't really give any of the other guests too much value. I was suppose to stay for 2 nights, I barely made it through the first night, so I checked out and went to a different hotel where I finally got a good night's sleep. The staff seemed friendly enough and the hotel seemed clean enough, except for grease stains on the carpeting, but I just couldn't get over the fact that I had no control whatsoever of the temperature in my room. Very disappointing.

Had a couple holes in the wall in the bathroom shower toilet Was way too low. Other than that I love this place breakfast wasn’t very good. Sausage was pretty rough. It got pretty cold the night I was there. I don’t think the heat was on yet and the iron was broken in my room.

Hotel was ok but hot tub and pool were FREEZING. We told the staff and they said they’d have it checked out but it did not improve. It is so frustrating when the pool and hot tub were a big part of why we picked this hotel with our kids.

Very clean and property was very well maintained. Beds and pillows comfortable. Quiet. Manager helped with an issue unrelated to the hotel. Very good value. Location easy to find and navigate, and close to the medical clinic and KU Med. Breakfast was usual continental breakfast fare, but I really liked the sausage gravy- not too much pepper! We have stayed here several times now, and probably will again!
