The cabin was great overall. Accurate as described with good amenities and well maintained. The cons are that it comes with the most punitive set of rules I have ever experienced. Don’t ask to check in early or arrive early or you’ll be charged as you will for missing towels or a whole other litany of violations. And if you forget the list don’t worry there’s probably a sign to remind you, makes it hard to relax. Our only issue was with access to the hot tub. It has a lock not easy to open. Our first instruction from our call was incorrect (this was our second day) and we were told no one was available to come help that day but there would be the next (Sunday). The office was closed Sunday and then no one was available Monday. Finally someone got in touch with housekeeping and got more concise instructions. The first 3 nights of our 6 night stay were shot with no access to the hot tub. We were not pleased with the responsiveness or empathy of the management and this along with the aforementioned rules will rule out further stays with this particular firm.

Cozy

This was a perfect little getaway for winter. The cabin was cozy, the fireplaces set the mood and the hot tub was a nice way to end the day. A nice location just 15 minutes to downtown blue ridge and 10 minutes to grocery store.

Comfy and peaceful

Everything was as reported. The property was clean and well maintained. There were neighbors within viewing distance but still felt secluded. We really enjoyed the fireplace on the covered porch. We were close to outdoor activities and conveniences too.

Beautiful Getaway

Lovely peaceful time away in the mountains. The early mountain mornings were amazing! About 13 minutes to the closest town 20 minutes from some amazing hikes (we went to panther top NC and Leatherwood Falls NC) Great stay! Will be back!

Relaxing Weekend

With the recent COVID19 concerns, my husband and I debated on whether to continue on with our planned trip to Dogwood Cabin. In the end, we decided to make the trip but to take all our supplies with us (so as not to have to shop or come in contact with others). The cabin was clean and just as described. At the cabin, you are about 6.5 miles from Blue Ridge. Due to precautions a large number of businesses and restaurants were closed, which we expected. We still got in a couple of socially distant hikes (Nottley Reservoir, Long Branch) and checked out a church with an interesting past (Tilley Bend). All in all, it was a nice, private time. We would definitely like to come back when we can explore more of what the local towns have to offer.

An Absolutely Amazing Location

This is an absolutely wonderful little cabin, perfect for a romantic getaway. Everything you need to just relax and enjoy your time together. Grocery shopping is just 15 minutes away at a Super Walmart and a Home Depot right next door for grabbing firewood. Dont miss a chance for an amazing biscuit breakfast at the convenience store as you pull off the main highway.

Cozy Getaway Cabin

Perfect getaway cabin for our Anniversary❤️ Pros: Well equipped, secluded but close to lots of things to do. Perfectly priced and has all the things needed for a great break from our busy lives. Cons: Lots of rules, hot tub directions are very difficult to follow, checking in early is pretty much out of the question.

Just as listed

The cabin was exactly as listed. The kitchen is well stocked with items for cooking (better than most). Loved the hot tub and fireplace! It was cool enough at night to have a fire outside one night. It's about 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, the orchard and other local activities. It is close to another cabin in the front but no one was there during our stay and we weren't hanging out on the front porch anyway. The bed could be a little better but we're just used to a really nice mattress and it was better than allot of places we've stayed. At least I didn't wake up with my whole body aching (which happens with a terrible mattress). I'd definitely book the cabin again! Thank you for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay. Cabin very clean. We loved the outside fireplace!!! Very private and close to the beautiful down town Blue Ridge. Only negatives is that the hot tub seemed a little slimy and the master bed was too hard for our liking. We both woke up with back aches but that could be just us. Everything else was perfect and lived all of the information posted everywhere so that we could follow. Thanks for the stay and we will be back in the fall.
