Not great

Hotel/room in tired condition. Note also-hotel guests are unable to use the pool/gym facilities etc (which are totally separate to the hotel and require their own independent booking for a considerable fee per person…). So, very pricey for a hotel in slightly scruffy condition with no pool/gym access.

extremely dissapointed in our stay, I have been staying at Mottram for over 25 years. there was 1 tiny bar which had a wedding party in so knowhere to have a drink, we were then told to head to the gold clubhouse for a drink instead, which had a corporate gold day on so no where to drink. booked a table in the restaurant food was 3/10 very dissapointing, wont stay again

Pool: Very disappointing no indoor access available for hotel guests nor bathrobes/slippers in the room. Noise: My room at the furthest end of a hallway clearly marked to request guest to be quiet. Sadly the guests in the room next to me didn't consider this both in the evening and early morning. And the door entering/exiting the hallway next to my room banged shut. Room: Great room, size and loved the chairs. Restaurant: very good service. Wine expensive. Room only price: great value for money

On the check in we had to wait an hour as the room was not ready. We then had breakfast the following day, service was awful. We waited for the tea and coffee but my husband had to go and ask for it. We also had to ask for sugar and a tea spoon. I wouldnt rate the breakfast as 15.00 worth.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was comfy and view was lovely. Spa was fantastic Room service menu is limited and only available until 9pm. In the shower, there is no shower gel bottle so had to reach over the sink to get some shower gel. If there was a soap dish, I would have put some in there and brought into the shower.

Service was poor upon arrival, the hotel layout is also poor as you have to go back outside to the rooms which in bad weather is not good, we tried to report an issue with an open water bottle in the room, however the phone was put down on us before we could complete the conversation Spa was very nice however do not answer the phone to book luckily we was on site and we went to check availability, would recommend the spa The room was poor condition with cracked tiles in the bathroom chips on the doors and then the morning after we discovered another guests clothes behind a chair

Attended for a wedding, need to provide better and more options for those who do not or cannot drink. I am 4 months pregnant and due to all soft drinks offered containing caffeine only option was juice. No alcohol alternatives offered for the toast just kind of a let down in this day and age for a place so highly rated and hosting numerous events
