Good value eclipsed by surprise pet fee & poor svc

Be aware if you’re traveling with pet dog(s). The hotel charges $75 per dog per stay. This was not mentioned anywhere in the booking process. This fee increased our cost for one night by $150. We checked in after 6 so the hotel would not allow cancellation, saying we should have called to ask about pet fees. We give low marks for checkin due to the hidden pet fee. Low marks for service due missing toiletries, bathroom cleanliness, and TV not working, could not be fixed during our stay. Hotel declined to offer discount.

Right on the Beach but not worth the money.

It’s outdated with no good amenities. No restaurant - no good vending. It’s it literally steps from The ocean- yes Is it worth $250+ a night - No

Floors were sticky and sandy in the room. Doors are noisy and hard to close. Only 1 elevator for the property makes for long wait times on it 15 mins or longer Everytime. Asked for clean towels for 2 days and never received any. Balcony door wouldn't close all the way without forcing it

The service was outstanding! The staff was very kind, friendly, helpful, and professional. My next vacation stay at Myrtle Beach will be at Blu Atlantic.

The staff was all very helpful and courteous. Housekeeping came by every morning to assure we were good and to swap out towels. The rooms were clean and updated. I'm glad we had opted for the oceanfront room. The balcony was nice with a perfect view of the pool and beach. A few conviences that may not a major deal for some, however, we loved having the broom and dust pan available in our room! It made it easy to clean up the sand we tracked in daily. Also the multiple large trash cans available on each floor made it nice when cleaning up or having had dinner in the room. We will definitely stay again!

Blanket was dirty. Fruit flies in the room. Faucet handle came off but the ads claimed it was “newly renovated.” They were gonna do room service but I opted to not to because of our dog so I instead asked to just give me a couple of new washcloths a towel and a shower mat. There were no washcloths available. The staff was nice but I think their training needs to be updated and facilities need to be improved.

Someone came knocking at 3 am I did not answer the door. Did not feel safe. Got follwed by several men several different times! The elevator broke down with me and my kids inside. The worst ever!
