First, the location is great, right across from the park. The concierge was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Our bed was very, very firm. The only real problem was the shower had almost no pressure, just a dribble. Our friends in other rooms did have water pressure.

The room was tiny and dated. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. There was only 1 socket to charge. Noisy road outside. Breakfast was cheap packet food.

It was a great hotel, right opposite the entrance to Herculaneum. Room was a good size and the beds comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast. Also there is a great terrace where you can take your own food and drink and just relax or order from reception and have something brought to you. Theres plenty of good restaurants nearby and the railway station is 10 mins walk away for direct trains to Naples and Sorrento and easy connections to Pompeii. A great value hotel which i would recommend

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for the Herculaneum site. The entrance is literally across the road and just through the site entrance is a view across the entire roman remains. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the station downhill. It is all uphill back. The staff at the hotel are so helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good. The room was nice and clean although basic. But overall the ideal spot to explore Ercolano and there are some lovely places to eat very close by.

We booked this hotel based on central location. The staff was nice enough, but the facility is getting outdated and the “coastal/beach club” vibe depicted in the online photos must be from a couple decades ago. Water service in the room was erratic and the breakfast area flooded the one day. Ok stay but wouldn’t go back.

Room is a little small but ok for a place to sleep. Hot shower, firm bed, floor heating, limited but good continental breakfast, great, accommodating staff with great local knowledge, great local location for cafes, train and bus and tours.

We had a great stay at Hotel Herculaneum overall! The hotel and its facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It even had a lovely balcony overlooking the street! It was tidied up daily and washcloths and bathmats were replaced daily (there is no Do Not Disturb sign - which we didn’t mind). There was a slight drainage issue in our shower on our first night (which caused a little flooding) but the issue seemed to have been fixed by the time we returned the following evening. The front desk staff were amazing; they were friendly, helpful, and happily answered our questions. The surrounding area was safe, considering that the hotel is steps away from Herculaneum (safe for tourists). The hotel’s best feature is its location - aside from being right across Herculaneum, it is only a 10 min walk from the train station (Ercolano Scavi) which is where you can take the Circumvesuviana line to go to Pompei, Sorrento (Almafi coast), and Naples; therefore, it is central to all of these places!
