Book New Freedom hotels

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend while attending my son’s AAU tournament. When we first arrived, the outside looked nice and gave the impression that we’d have a pleasant stay. However, as soon as we walked into the lobby, there was a very strong smell of cleaning supplies. It was constant and a bit overwhelming, almost like it was masking another odor. I will say, the gentleman at check-in was excellent. We arrived early, and he could tell I was a little unsure about the stay. He went out of his way to give me a key to three different rooms so I could choose the one I felt most comfortable in. That was extremely thoughtful and appreciated. Once we got settled, things started to go downhill. Our room had a sofa bed, which I would strongly advise against booking. The couch itself looked very worn and dirty—what should have been blue fabric looked more brown from wear. When I pulled out the sofa bed, the mattress was incredibly thin and uncomfortable—barely an inch thick. It made it almost impossible to get any rest. I contacted the front desk and was told to come down for extra covers. I asked if they could bring them up since we were already settled, and it took about an hour for someone to come. Unfortunately, what was brought up was just a very thin sheet, which didn’t help at all. I ended up having to use my own comforter just to make the bed somewhat bearable. When you book a hotel, you expect comfort and rest, and unfortunately, that just didn’t happen here.

Property was very clean. Rooms were nice and clean. Bathroom was a little tight, but room size was good. We enjoyed our stay. Nice Breakfast.

I will definitely stay at this property again. They exceeded all of my families expectations.

The Holiday Inn express in Hunt Valley is basically to me a business hotel. It’s not a place to go for a vacation, but it’s very clean and probably the most affordable hotel in the Hunt Valley area. The hotel is clean, the staff is very efficient, which is all you need for a hotel.
