9.5/10 only because the distance from Bourbon st. is a bold face LIE. More like an hour walk or more. The hotel is nice, front desk staff was very nice. Literally no complaints other than the distance from Canal and Bourbon St., the Superdome and Smoothie King Center which is really the reason that I chose this location in the first place.

The hotel was nice and clean and had a really pretty little courtyard with a fire bowl and a pool. Although I couldn't enjoy it cuz I was only there for about 8 hours. However, the front desk staff should know when there's a time change as they woke me up an hour earlier even though I asked them the night before if there was such a time change in the central since I'm from the Pacific Northwest and she had no clue and then they woke me at 3:00 a.m. instead of 4:00 a.m. for my flight. I found that the front desk staff were very friendly, but other stuff on the site may be quite abrupt and rude.

The staff was very courteous and the the room was nicely cleaned ! I wish to especially commend and praise the excellent service and professionalism of wonderful lady named " Rochelle" who worked in the breakfast cafe. During my muti-week stay at the Country Inn, Rochelle was unfailingly polite, kind and helpful. She was very attentive to the operation of the breakfast room and had a great attitude every day that I enjoyed my morning meal. She also deserves special mention because on the morning of September 20th, I suffered a fainting spell and blacked out in the breakfast room while chatting with Rochelle. As I fell, Rochelle caught me so as to prevent my head from hitting the floor, and suffering a potential head injury. Having had some previous nursing training, Rochelle stayed by me until others relocated me to a chair, then a sofa. Thereafter, an EMT who happened to be staying at the hotel , stayed with me until the ambulance arrived and transported me the the hospital. It was Rochelle's quick action that protected me from what could've been a serious fall. Accordingly, I wish to specially commend Rochelle to you for her excellent service and assistance, in every regard. Sincerely, M.M. Simpson
