Great room and great location. Only minor issue was no mini fridge and the deadbolt on the door was broken. Everything in the French quarter was walkable. Coffee, restaurants and shopping nearby. Comfortable clean room and despite all the bars in the area it was really quiet at night. Would stay again.

The room pictures are not even close to the reality. Claustrophobia comes to mind. Brought it up to the desk but unfortunately they "apparently" weren't to help me out and upgrading me to something in which it was advertised in the first place..

The Inn on St. Peter Street, located in the heart of the French Quarter, offers an authentic New Orleans experience just a hop and skip from Bourbon Street. Guests are welcomed by friendly staff and can enjoy a charming courtyard, with complimentary water and coffee provided daily. Dating back to 1805, the historic building exudes character, though potential visitors should be prepared for its quirks. Rooms are smaller than average, and the fixed-temperature air conditioning can be uncomfortable. The Inn is also known to appear on haunted history tours, adding an intriguing element for those interested in the supernatural. However, there are drawbacks. The noise from Bourbon Street can be disruptive at night, and the security of the old French doors with glass may raise concerns. Additionally, the stairs to the upper level rooms and slanted balcony might pose challenges for guests with mobility issues. While the Inn on St. Peter Street provides a unique and memorable experience, those seeking more modern amenities might prefer accommodations on Canal Street. Overall, this Inn is a great choice for travelers wanting to fully immerse themselves in the vibrant spirit of the French Quarter.

I arrived with my family of five. When we entered the room, we found water leaking from the ceiling and the entire floor was soaked. We returned to the lobby and had to wait 45 minutes for a new room and a resolution to the issue. After a 9-hour drive, this was not the experience we expected from a reputable hotel. We were offered either a full refund (it means we have to find an new hotel) or a smaller room with only two beds instead of the three we originally booked — which was important because we have three children. Since we had already parked our car four blocks away (as the hotel offers no nearby parking), we weren’t in a position to reload all our luggage and search for another place to stay. Essentially, we were forced to accept a downgraded room, and our experience in New Orleans was ruined. We also received no compensation or discount for the downgrade. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Nice hotel

The location was great. We were able to walk all over the French Quarter quite easily. The room was clean but small. The bathroom shower dripped all day and night no matter how hard we tried to get the water off. They did make the bed everyday and gave us clean towels but didn’t leave wash clothes one day. When we went to the front desk to ask for more they said they were out of clean ones. Not sure how a hotel runs out of clean wash clothes but they did. The people working the front desk were friendly. Overall it was nice and I liked the location.

We waited 20 minutes in the lobby on someone to come check us in, resulting in a missed opportunity to tour the cathedral. The room was average, not very well kept, moldy caulk around the yellow tub, with dirty walls. The receptionist, when he got there, was pleasant and helpful. Street parking was NOT available, parked 5 or 6 minutes away at a paid lot. Hotel was close to attractions around the city.
