Stayed for one night to be near the hospital. Very conveniently located. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was well appointed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Plenty of linens. And the shampoo and body wash were excellent.

The front desk was really friendly, the lobby area was welcoming. We were there for a quick overnight attending a concert at the Welmont Theater. I meant to report a condition issue with the room but forgot and hope this gets relayed back. The room bathroom light was difficult to turn on/off. Also the track lighting around the bed frame was malfunctioning- it was flashing with a strobe like effect- that we thought was actually maybe an ADA feature when motion was detected- then realized it didn’t stop! We turned it off when we figured out the control switch was in the center wall. I think it’s an electrical short. Other than that minor issue/ the room was perfect for our needs. Thanks for a great stay!

Preferential treatment for Black over White guests

Let's start with the fact that the hotel itself is gorgeous and has large rooms with beautiful bathrooms The service however is horrendous , the staff are really rude , probably because there is no diversity, only Black people work here. This is the first hotel that I have been to that does not give late check out and they are so rude , when we were checking out the lady named Shondell almost wanted to kick us out of the room at 10:30 am although the lady at front desk at check in gave us a 12 pm checkout which she did not put in the system , other hotels give you a 1 and 2 pm check out especially on a Sunday when occupancy is much lower than on a Saturday. I was denied late check out without any reasonable excuse. The lady at front desk at our check out was not nice as well , this hotel needs diversity in staff , I feel like if you are not a certain color you don't get treated well here As the only white guest during my visit, I felt noticeably mistreated compared to the treatment others received. The staff seemed to be very accommodating and friendly towards Black guests, while I felt overlooked and unwelcome. I believe in treating everyone equally, and it was disheartening to feel as though my presence was not valued. This experience has left me feeling uncomfortable and will influence my decision to return in the future. I hope the management can address this issue to ensure all guests feel welcome and respected ,regardless of their background. Not coming back

Check in was quick, the front desk was very nice. The room was decent. However, when i sat on the small sofa i got all this residue on my pants. The only sink is in the bathroom. The smart mirror in the bathroom is a nice touch, but the hair on the shower floor was not. I wanted to make tea but got a bottle of water to put in the keurig as the ice bucket didn't look clean. 2 coffee cups wrapped in plastic of which for some reason the plastic had large holes, and 2 cups while only 1 too and the top was not in plastic. Advertied a pool unfortunately you do not find out the pool is closed until after you book your reservation. Then you get a message from the hotel. Advertise a restaurant. It is not one you can go sit in, and the menu, well you have Ceasar salad, chicken wings, burgers mainly though i oredered the wings, they didn't have it. First time staying at a hotel that has no flyers or menus of nearby restaurants or eateries of which there are a few in the vicinity. . For the price, i expected more. Disappointed to say the least
