We stayed for 7 nights and overall had a pleasant experience, though a few things left room for improvement.
The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points—just a short stroll to Darling Harbour with plenty of restaurants, and attractions nearby. However, being close to the police station meant we did encounter 2 situations where locals were being body-checked right outside, which was a bit unsettling, though of course not the hotel’s fault.
Breakfast was fairly standard for a hotel of this category, but it stood out slightly thanks to the barista-made coffee—definitely better than the usual buffet coffee you often get.
Housekeeping, unfortunately, was not up to expectations. We noticed the bedsheets hadn’t been changed despite our scheduled housekeeping every 3 days, the carpet still had the same dirt we’d spotted earlier (suggesting it was barely vacuumed), and the tissue box was only refilled once out of the two housekeeping requests we made. Small things, but they add up and give the impression of a lack of attention to detail. The room itself could use a bit more care to match the standards of the brand.
During our stay, we also had a day with no hot water and a night where noise from the neighbouring room disturbed our sleep. These felt like isolated incidents, but they did impact the overall experience.
That said, staff were generally friendly, the lobby and common areas were welcoming, and the convenience of the location made exploring easy.
