Rude receptionists

On arrival I was greeted by the receptionist who obviously doesn't usually work Saturday nights Alex. Told me the previous customer he was dealing with was a entitled T*sspot. In front of my young child wasn't the best welcoming. Then he commented on how could anyone stay at Alton towers splash landings was surprising as the room had no air con and always hot. So when I went to my room I was surprised to learn their Aircon didn't work and was unpleasant hot even in October. Beds were too soft and pillows just not what you'd expect from a hotel. Breakfast had items missing and not the best of quality in general. But edible. Decor throughout looked outdated and a fresh lick of paint need but that's being petty the room was clean. The woman on checkout didn't seem like she wanted to be there. But the cleaners seemed happy

Having stayed here many times when attending dog shows i was rather disappointed with the amount of meals that were unavailable on the dinner menu in both mains and desserts.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times before and usually left feeling dissatisfied about something but this visit was probably the best that we have had: check in was efficient, the room was comfortable, bar staff were helpful and breakfast was good. However, we could not understand why, at the bar, bar staff had to write down by hand every item that we purchased.

Outside of the hotel looks tired and a bit old looking, reception area and restaurant are more modern and nicely put together, food is really nice and you have a good variety too choose

Got there late, just before kitchen closed. Reception staff were great, and moved us to a room nearer the reception when they saw my wife's crutch (my wife is disabled). Also pointed out that the kitchen was about to close and to make sure we got an order in quickly. Even made sure the person taking the order got it on time. Room was comfortable - bed was comfier than the Premier Inn we'd stayed at a few weeks previously. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to check out the pool etc. Breakfast was decent - it was nice to see pancakes as an option! They also made a fresh batch of scrambled eggs on request. They should allocate more than two disabled parking spaces, though. Both were full when we got there, and although we managed to park reasonably close to the reception the main issue was being unable to open the passenger door fully to make it easier for my wife to get in and out of the car. But that's just a niggle in an otherwise decent stay.

Have stayed here several times just seems to be getting worse. I ordered a drink to e waitress who was friendly came back to say they didn’t have it, I ordered a salad they didn’t have it I ordered a desert after waiting a long time she came back 5 minutes later and again didn’t have it. When I left this morning the chap on the desk asked how was my stay I was honest and said not as good as usual he then didn’t say a word printed my bill and I left Why ask???

The pool area was very outdated and in dire need of redecoration. The sauna in the gents was more of a cramped cleaning cupboard. Staff all seemed very friendly, including the female member of staff who wanted to come into the male changing room while guests were changing.
